MUMBAI: After announcing her entry into showbiz with Palampur Express in 2009, Adaa Khan has proved her mettle in a number of hit shows. From Behenein, Amrit Manthan, Piya Basanti Re, Naagin to a number of reality shows, the actress never fails to surprise her audience.

Adaa has vowed the audiences with her performance as Shehsa on Naagin. She is widely regarded as of the best Naagins, and fans are always elated when she makes an appearance on the show. She has recently made her OTT debut.

Currently starring as Mitali on 'Shubh Mangal Mein Dangal', TellyChakkar Exclusively spoke to Adaa Khan to chat about her OTT Debut, her equation with her Co-stars and 

1. You are making your debut with a comedy show on OTT, fans have shown a great response to the trailer, and is this the kind of Role you envisioned for yourself? 

This is the first time I am doing something in a complete comedy genre, And this is my Debut show, the response is overwhelming and I am very grateful for that, I am getting feedback and I am really happy with them because I have done comedy before. And about my Character, I like to experiment and I have always liked doing different things, Comedy as a genre is something that I had never explored and I was very excited to do it because I am very open to my choices of roles, I like variety and I think I work best in that.

2. How was your Experience working with Nishant Singh Malkani, Any qualities in particular that you like about him?

I and Nishant hadn't really met ever before even during industry meetings we never met, But we clicked on the sets, we had a lot of fun, there was an understanding which leads to the chemistry that people are talking about, and that then shows on screen. And one quality that I like about him is his passion and his dedication, I like people who are hardworking and dedicated and I really appreciate that about him.

3. What was your Family and friends' reaction to the show, did you get any critique? 

My mother was my biggest and most helpful critique and she would tell me to do something more or if I should have tried something else and I really miss that. I sat and watched the show with my dad, so whenever he would laugh I would feel good and validated, and everybody in my extended family or friends whoever has watched it has been very kind and has liked the show.

Adaa Khan rose to prominence with shows like 'Amrit Manthan' and 'Naagin', and 'Shubh Mangal Pe Dangal' is her first Web show.
