MUMBAI: Dolphin Dubey has come a long way in her career.

She has worked in a lot of shows and while she was recently a part of Apna Time Bhi Ayega on Zee TV, she is now a part of Sasural Simar Ka 2 on Colors.

In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Dolphin opened up on her personal life and how she has grown to be a fine actress. Take a look:

Sharing about her struggle period, Dolphin shared, “I was born in an artist family and when I was 3 years old he gave me a bongo to play because there was no toys to play with and my parents were both artists so we were struggling. I was confused that I know playing instruments, dancing and acting so where should I start and I moulded my mind to do playback and I remember that I auditioned for Indian Idol and got rejected and I came out and met a lady named Madhavi who said to give audition for another show on Zoom channel and I went and auditioned and got selected and I won the show and I never mentioned about it, and I had a feeling that I became a star and there was an enthusiasm when you come on television and from then I convinced my parents to work in this industry.

I took a gap during my pregnancy and then I completely changed the track and told my husband to say that I left the industry and I got a call for Bhojpuri Bigg Boss and I entered the show when my daughter was 6 months old and I was in the show for 3 months and that gave me another show and for me switching me off and going back on track , I always wanted to work , I didn’t know what because I never learned acting and speaking of now to be honest show like Crime Patrol and Saavdhan India has given me name and polished me as well and whenever you go on sets of daily soaps you hear people saying that don’t cast them they are from crime shows and we get rejected even if you do your best and I did a web series with Karishma Kapoor on Zee5 and I got that show because I was in a crime show.

Whenever I used to go to go for a positive role I had to say that I can do it but they say no your face is not positive and I literally begged for positive role and I was finalised after 3 months for Udaan and I gained weight so that I could look bulky and then Colors thought I couldn’t do negative and I had to prove that whatever you think I can’t do I will do it, my Hindi supports me , my singing helped me in voice modulation and dance helped in expressions, and all the challenges you face helps you to learn more ,  and as my name suggests Dolphin which can go deeper in the sea can jump higher than that.”
