MUMBAI : Tellychakkar got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights about the show and his character in it.

Faltu is a drama television series produced under Boyhood Productions, starring Niharika Chouksey and Aakash Ahuja. It premiered on 2 November 2022 on StarPlus.

The story revolves around an unwanted girl, named Faltu, after her parents' frustration at the birth of a fourth girl when they wanted a boy.

Faltu harbors a love for cricket, playing with various improvised bats like sticks and brooms, further drawing mockery in the village. Things change when she crosses paths with a young coach Ayaan Mittal, who is a businessman visiting her village for business. He notices her talent despite bad first impressions, and thus begins a new journey in her unacknowledged life.

Rajat Verma plays the grey shade character of Siddharth Mittal, Ayaan’s younger cousin.

Tellychakkar got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights about the show and his character in it. 

What made you say yes to the show Faltu?

“The only thing that made me say yes to this show is the fact that I am getting to play a negative character. I always wanted to play something like that. But it does happen in television that the antagonists are quite cliché. This has been going on for a long time and is still happening. I hope I get to do something new. And this is turning out to be quite challenging for me but I wish to explore the character more.”

You were a part of Beyhadh 2. What was the experience and working with Jennifer Winget like?

“The whole experience was really good and it was my first break. I got to work with Jennifer Winget, Ashish Choudhary, and Shivin Narang.  Everyone was so sweet and humble. They were really nice to me. I am still in touch with Shivin and we even talk about the show. Everyone was really supportive and we all shared a good rapport.”

What can the audience expect from the upcoming plot of Faltu?

“A love triangle is brewing lately. Faltu has come to Mumbai and is staying with the Mittal family. She is here because Tanisha is going to get married to Ayaan. Now, I will try my best to stop this wedding from happening and attain all the property. So there will be a love triangle between Siddharth, Tanisha, and Ayaan.”
