We got in touch with the power couple Gaurav and Ritu Taneja, as it is a childhood special the duo shared their childhood memories and scarring experiences, We asked Gaurav and Ritu about their childhood memories, Ritu revealed that 'My mom used to make these rotis and a special chutney, I used to sit in the kitchen while she used to cook and add soo much butter that used to come out from our buffalo's milk, those days are something that I would cherish for good.
Gaurav shares, 'While we were you, we used to live in a joint family in Kanpur and in those old days me, my sister and cousins weren't keen on eating so we used to go touch our elder's feet for the money. We would get money, nothing big as an amount but we would gather at rupee or 50paisa and then buy a toffee or something and play in the park nearby and go home.
We asked the duo about any such incident in childhood that left a scar in their lives, Ritu had a heartwrenching confession to make, This incident took place when I was in class 4 and there was a boy named Gaurav in my class, who always used to come and sit on the bench in front of me. At that time, we use to have wooden benches, and the space at the back of the bench used to be open. Taking advantage of this, the boy used to touch my feet during the class by taking out his hands from behind and his courage grew with each passing day. I used to also go for my tuitions, and during that time the same things and incidents used to run over my mind. I was extremely scared to narrate the incident at home, with the fear of being misunderstood by people. Every day I used to be like today I will slap that guy, but every time I used to get numb, it even affected my studies. One day, I did gather courage and blurted out all the fear for that moment and gave that guy slaps.
She further added, The next day, I was very nervous while going to school, if he would do anything to me and have to bear the consequences. But after that particular incident, he himself wasn’t able to look eye to eye with me. He had started to hide from me, like how I used to hide from him earlier. That day I realized that sometimes we find certain problems very difficult, but when you face them, you win the battle right there. That’s why I always teach good and bad touches to my daughter so that she doesn’t panic in any situation and talks openly. If I would have spoken to someone earlier then I guess this wouldn't have escalated till 4-5 days. I feel teaching my kids is important, it is necessary to speak up, while we are vlogging they are always with me, I have never left them alone but when we are shooting here we have to leave them with the caretaker so yes, it is really important to be cautious.
Our heart goes out to Ritu for being an inspiration for all the women and bringing out such a tormenting incident.
