Extraaa Innings: Cricket weds entertainment

It's raining cricket matches on Max this October on<em> Extraaa Innings</em> with four hosts spicing up the show like never before along with the added celebrity quotient in each episode. While Mandira Bedi and Charu Sharma are back in action to add that extra glitz and glamour to the show the channel has roped in Rohit Roy and Shonali Nagrani as the other new two hosts on the show. Also this time around the Hindi commentary of the show will also be aired on SAB.
It's raining cricket matches on Max this October on Extraaa Innings with four hosts spicing up the show like never before along with the added celebrity quotient in each episode. While Mandira Bedi and Charu Sharma are back in action to add that extra glitz and glamour to the show the channel has roped in Rohit Roy and Shonali Nagrani as the other new two hosts on the show. Also this time around the Hindi commentary of the show will also be aired on SAB. States Kunal Dasgupta, CEO, Set India Private Ltd, "There will also be more interactivity through mobile phones and the working with DTH has been worked around so that the viewers can watch the match from four different angles. There is more exciting package making way for the World Cup 2007 where we can have bigger opportunities for all our partners." Ravishing Mandira Bedi who has been associated with the show for the past three and a half years is excited about the show which made an icon of sorts. "Post the World Cup nobody looks at me as an actor but only as a host. But I am not complaining as I enjoy hosting shows and my association with Max has been fruitful and now I will have two dear friends hosting the show along with us," chirps the lady who claims to have learnt about cricket on the job. For Rohit Roy, who has been a cricket enthusiast all his life, hosting this show has been a dream come true. "I've hosted various shows on films and television but this is completely different for me. And whenever I'd watch the show I'd wonder mera number kab ayega but with this show I hope to have a good time with the lovely people and learn from Charu," points out Rohit. For a pretty young Shonali Nagrani, hosting this show is a big high for her career. "The team has welcomed me with so much of warmth and I feel a part of the Max family. I will be on the field and will be talking about cricket and beyond," says Shonali, who has hosted many a shows in the past including Popkorn on Zoom. Popular cricket commentator Charu Sharma is looking at the show as a source of information and entertainment. "I thank Max for a long and terrific journey which has been inventive, of the people, for the people, and understands entertainment," says this host from Banglore, who will be stationed in Mumbai for a month for this show. The Extraaa Innings ICC Champions Trophy 2006 commences from 7 October and will continue till 5 November.
