The musical reality show Fame Gurukul is soon hitting the tube in its hipper avatar as Fame X. But this time around, the show which is an Indian adaptation of the Spanish reality show Operacion Triunfo is not coming on Sony but on its flanking channel Sab TV. Confirming the news to Tellychakkar.com, Programming Head Priya MIshra says, "the second season of the show will retain the original format but this time around it will have a whole lot of attitude. We hope to add the extra cool quotient (or the X factor) in the show by getting more young college kids from across the country to participate." "Also, this time around we're not just looking for the person with the best vocal chords but also someone who has that `X' factor in him or her. We are currently in the process of finalising the judges and presenters for the show." Interestingly, Fame X will not be looking for a Fame jodi this time, but there will only be one winner. For the uninitiated, the Brit version of the show traces the lives of contestants who live at the Fame Academy, with cameras peeking in, until a winner is announced On being queried on how the show fits into the overall positioning of the channel, Mishra says, "after Twinkle Beauty Parlour and Left Right Left, we now hope to bring the reality and music element to the channel. Also, positioned as a general entertainment channel for the agegroup of 18 to 30, I think Fame X will definitely work for us." The show will be produced by Endemol this time and is likely to hit the tube by November. Currently in its pre-productions stages, the channel is looking at travelling to all the possible cities in the country to find the right talent.
