Contestant Aman along with choreographer Sagar performed on the song ‘Tumse Milke Dilka’ from Main Hoon Na. Their act had a portion where Contestants Adnan and Rutuja played Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder and depicted their love story on stage. After the performance, Farah said, “I took a moment to understand what was happening on the stage because my love story was never like what we saw today on stage (laughs). Adnan, amazing casting and the attire is exactly what Shirish used to wear during the shoot of ‘Main Hoon Na’ and I used to look like Rutuja at that time.”
The judges egged on Farah Khan to share her love story with husband Shirish Kunder, which not many people know. Farah said, “I hate to disappoint you all but during ‘Main Hoon Na’ shooting which went on for like two years, Shirish and I used to hate each other because I used to come on set and pick on the editing. Shirish was editing the movie, he used to tell me that I have not taken certain shots and scenes properly, which was irritating for me. But when the shoot for this movie got over, I was relaxed and open to the idea of engaging with someone because at that time, in 2002 while shooting for this film, Shah Rukh Khan had specifically asked me not to date or get in a relationship, and to only focus on the movie. After finishing the shoot and the edits, I was kind of impressed by Shirish for the editing work that he had done for the movie, I was ready to mingle with someone and because Shirish had impressed me, I thought of giving it a try.”
Listening to the story, Bharti asked Farah who said ‘I love you’ first and Farah replied saying, “I don’t think we have ever said that to each other till date. This year, it will be 16 years for our marriage, and we take each other as good friends (laughs).” Farah Khan further added, “When we were dating Shirish asked if I was serious about him, and I had gone to London to choreograph a wedding then. So, when I was there attending the wedding, even I felt like I should take a step ahead.” That’s when Malaika asked Farah whether who proposed to whom, and she said, “I remember we had gone to Goa, and there in a church we exchanged rings. The next day I read in the papers that Farah Khan is engaged, it was for sure Shirish who told the press about our engagement (quips). So, we started dating in January around my birthday and we got married in the same year in December.”
Further, Farah praised Aman and Sagar’s act and even the judges were impressed with their performance. Malaika said, “It was a sweet tribute to Farah, her real-life story is nice. We got so involved in the story in the act. And, Aman is super cool. Your expressions, your moves and body language, is naturally cool. The act was entertaining.”
