MUMBAI: Apart from keeping the fans hooked and entertained onscreen, Sony SAB's 'Wagle ki Duniya' is equally entertaining offscreen as well! With a relatable narrative based on everyday situations the show has been striking a chord with the Indian television audience. In a candid conversation the female leads spilled the beans on the behind-the-scenes jugaad that they have to do given their short height, which is also the reason for a healthy, lighthearted trolling by their relatively tall male counterparts.
To offset the height difference, the actresses usually deliver their dialogues while standing on a slightly elevated stool (paatla) in a bid to achieve the perfect shot bridging the height gap. Pariva Pranati (Vandana), Chinmayee Salvi (Sakhi) and Manasi Joshi (Yamini) stand on short stools during scenes with their male counterparts. So much so, that even when there is a short walking sequence, a track of these short stools is placed for them to walk over. The trio are adorably called the ‘shortie squad’ for this reason. For this adorable little quick fix during the shoot, all the actors and crew members share a light moment while shooting together. All said and done, we know for a fact that the crew never misses the fun while working on the show.
Pariva Pranati who plays Vandana comments, "Whenever Sumeet (Rajesh Wagle) and I are having a conversation in any scene and I need to look up while talking, we try our hardest to not laugh. Even Sheehan's (Atharva Wagle) height is shooting right up, and he is practically towering over our shoulders! We have a blast calling the tiny stool mine and Chinmayee's (Sakhi Wagle) best friend and we are proud shorties in the team! Among all the things I love about our show, this one will definitely go down in history as my favourite!"
Watch 'Wagle ki Duniya' Monday to Saturday at 9 pm only on Sony SAB!
