The saucy kiss between Anil Kapoor and Surveen Chawla in 24 Season 2 is creating ripples across the nation. It’s the first time a mainstream Bollywood actor is kissing on the small screen.
But the thorough professional that Anil is, he has dismissed the kiss as part of the script and nothing else, a gossip portal has reported.
While talking about the kiss, Anil told the portal, "This is not a light- hearted soap or sitcom. 24 is a political thriller. My character is shown to be in a relationship with a woman (Surveen Chawla). I've kissed in my films when there has been a need to. In 24 a lip lock was needed. So we went ahead and did it. About time we stop making a fuss about these things. The content in 24 is not juvenile. We are looking at a series which has certain international standards to uphold."
24 Season 2 deals with Jai Singh Rathore’s quest to save the country from an attack. It’s dark, thrilling, and racy.
It stars Anil Kapoor as Jai Singh Rathod, Nana Patekar as the narrator, Shabana Azmi as Abhilasha Grewal, Ronit Roy, Sakshi Tanwar as Shibani Mallick, Neil Bhoopalam as Aditya Singhania, now Prime-Minister, Sikander Kher as Haroon Sherchan, and Surveen Chawla, among others.
