Did you know Jannat Zubair denied kissing on screen?
During Tu Aashiqui days, the actress was asked to have an intense kissing scene with co-actor Rithvik Arora. The actress’ family objected and even Jannat stood by them and claimed that she wouldn’t be comfortable kissing on-screen as she was merely 16 years old. In an interview during the controversy, Jannat said, “I understand that a leading lady is expected to do certain things, but I am just 16. I can’t do what a 25-year-old would. A kiss on the hand or forehead is fine, but what I was asked to do was out of place. It was an intense kiss and I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing it. I have many teenagers following me on social media and if I agree to do something like this, it would set a wrong example. There is an appropriate age for everything and even then, an actress should be given the option of choosing to do a particular scene.”
The tussle between Jannat’s parents and producers intensified and the producers were looking out to replace the actress. However, later things got sorted and the production house scraped the scene and Jannat continued to be the leading lady of the project.
