The TV strike is over but the couch potatoes are still yearning to see the fresh episodes of their favourite soaps and reality shows. Well, they’ll have to wait for just five more days. Come 1 December, it will be back to the good old days. All broadcasters have given the nod for fresh episdoes to be aired from 1 December.
Announcing that original programming will resume on Star Plus, Keertan Adyanthaya, Executive Vice President and General Manager said, “We’re pleased to bring fresh content to all our loyal viewers who’ve missed their daily dose of drama, intrigue and realism because of the ongoing strike called by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and the Producer’s Guild. As grueling as these last few weeks have been, all broadcasters have stood firm on their stand and our commitment to the viewers continues as we once again showcase engaging and entertaining content from December 1.”
On the same day, Star will also be launching their new show Aap Ki Kacheri , that will be hosted by former cop Kiran Bedi.
SET creative head (fiction) Sanjay Upadhyay said,”All the shows on Sony will have fresh content from Monday. We are glad that the better sense has prevailed. Both producers and workers have started to realise that this conflict will not benefit any one. Now that the economy is bad, there is no scope for any unfair demand to be fulfilled. It is good news that the workers have started working. Television shows are our bread and butter, so why milk it dry by asking for unreasonable things. This conflict had a bad impact on all of us. It is good to have a nice, peaceful and harmonious relation with each other and make a benefit out of it.”
The word coming out from Colors is the same but they still haven’t specified what will be aired in place of Bigg Boss 2 which concldued last week. SAB Business too confirmed the airing of fresh episodes. Meanwhile, Sahara too will follow suit but they will not be launching their two new shows Jo ishq ki marzi woh rab ki mazri and Pankh hote to udh jaate . The two dialies are to follow the dance reality show Saas vs Bahu which is likely to be completed in the coming week.
There was no word coming out from the struggling 9X. We sent a SMS to their CEO Indrani Mukherjea but there was no reply.
