MUMBAI: Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, is a vibrant festival filled with devotion and joy. During this time, devotees place beautifully crafted Idols of Bappa at their homes and pandals, and celebrate him with sweets, and flowers. The festival is marked by the chanting of hymns and the aroma of incense, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. It concludes with the immersion of the Idols in water, symbolizing Ganesha's return to his heavenly abode. Ganesh Chaturthi is a time of faith, community, and cultural celebration. On this occasion, Zee TV actor Priya Thakur from Vasudha shares her fondest memories of the festival.
Priya Thakur, who essays the role of Vasudha in Zee TV’s Vasudha said, “Being from Himachal Pradesh, I wasn't very familiar with the grandeur of Ganesh Chaturthi until I recently moved to Mumbai. The way the entire city comes alive with devotion and celebration is truly mesmerizing. I’ve seen people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate with such enthusiasm and joy. It’s infectious! This year, I will be visiting the Zee TV Parel cha Raja to seek Bappa’s blessings for my new show, Vasudha. I’m excited to experience the divine energy up close and feel the festive spirit that Mumbai is known for. I wish Ganpati Bappa truly unites everyone with love and positivity!
