Bigg Boss 7 (Colors) contestant Ajaz Khan who had confessed his undying love for Gauahar Khan seems to have taken the more diplomatic ‘we are friends’ route post the end of the controversial reality show. We ran into the handsome actor at his upcoming film Ya Rab’s press conference, yesterday night. Ajaz who was all smiles while taking questions on his film appeared a bit evasive but not uncomfortable while answering questions on Gauahar. When asked if he had stayed in touch with his ‘love’ Gauahar Khan, Ajaz said, “I had called Gauahar today but she's in Bangkok. She said she will watch my movie as soon as she returns.” And before we could ask him on his current equation with Gauahar, post her win, Ajaz himself clarified, “We will always be friends. Hum log hamesha dost the, aur dost rehenge.”
Wonder, if the entire love confession was nothing more than a publicity stunt to grab greater eyeballs.
Ajaz was also spotted wearing a ‘Being Human’ band yesterday on his right hand. When quizzed about the significance of wearing the same, Ajaz said, “Being Human is a good foundation and I love and respect Salman Khan a lot. Salman has given me this band which I like wearing all the time.”
Ajaz’s next, Ya Rab is a movie that talks about Jihad and its real meaning. Ajaz plays a police officer in this movie. Helmed by Mahesh Bhatt, the actor feels this is the right time for him to make a comeback.
“Looking at the way my fans have loved me and the fact that my popularity is at an all time high today, I feel this is the right time to come out with a movie like Ya Rab.”
Ajaz, whom Mahesh Bhatt has taken under his wings, also expressed his intention to stay away from the bolder roles that the Bhatts are known to direct. When asked if he would ever kiss and make bold love on screen, Ajaz said, “I have a fan following today that includes kids as well. I have been an underwear model too in the past. Go on the internet and you will easily find those pictures. But that was my past and I am not ashamed of what I have done. But today, I won’t do anything of that sort because I have a different image and I want to maintain it.”
Ya Rab releases on 7 February (2014).
