Ghar Ek Sapnaa
After wielding the axe on their youngest baby (Jo ishq ki marzi woh rab ki marzi), Sahara One is now closing the curtains on one of its long running shows – Ghar Ek Sapnaa. This Ananda Telefilms daily, which has been running for nearly five years, is set to wind up in September. Strangely, just a month back the show had got a year long extension – a fact acknowledged by producer Ajai Sinha. However, things change in a matter of days on television. Ghar ek sapnaa will come to a close around 12 September. Confirming the news, producer Sangeeta Sinha says, “Yes, it’s true that our show is winding up in September.” As we’d reported earlier, Ananda Telefilms is also in talks with the same channel for a new show. However, Sangeeta refused to comment anything on it. Ghar ek sapnaa had launched on 15 January 2005 and has completed almost five years. Through this duration, the show has witnessed performances from many actors. Sayantani Ghosh and Ujjwal Rana started as the protagonists but they were then replaced by Aneesha Kapoor and Ankur Nayyar respectively. The show also features actors Harsh Chhaya, Niki Walia and Alok Nath. The likes of Varun Badola, Arzoo Govitriker and Barkha Madan too left their impression on the show.
