Young lad Anant Joshi who essays the role of Ishaan, son in the ghost family in Ravi Ojha Productions’ Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost on Life OK, received a shock of his life recently, when he was scolded by the senior actors on the show.
Yes, and the handsome chap we hear, was almost in tears when actors Smita Bansal, Indraneel Bhattacharya, Anita Kanwal simply walked out of the shoot spot, because the boy was late on the sets.
A source on the set informs us, “Anant was taken aback when he came on sets. Anita Kanwal gave him a loud welcome by saying that she cannot continue shooting with these new actors, who do not keep up to the scheduled time. The senior actors were very angry at the fact that they were made to wait, because the youngsters walked in late.”
Anant was totally in shock, as he had reached the sets before time, but was not called by anyone to report to the shoot spot. On seeing the seniors walk off, Anant felt really bad, and was even told by his creative team to go and apologize to them.
And that was when the curtain was raised on the whole fiasco. Anant had a sigh of relief when Anitaji (Kanwal) just could not drag it all the more, and broke the ice to him that they were in fact playing a prank on him.
Aah, this sounds cool, isn’t it?
The source clarifies, “The idea came from the biggest prankster on the sets, Indraneel Bhattaracharya. And the senior actors wanted to test the nerves of Anant. So they created a tense situation wherein they were upset with the actor. Anant was struggling for words on seeing the strong reaction coming from the actors. But all was well at the end, and Anant too had a hearty laugh when he found that he was trapped in a prank.”
When contacted, Anant confirmed the news to Tellychakkar.com saying, “It is true that a prank was played on me. I was petrified to learn that the senior actors were angry at me, as I was late on set. But the fact was that I drop in before time, and wait for my shot. So I just could not understand anything when I was targeted. I was really scared on seeing Anitaji yell at me. But it was Anitaji who let the cat out of the bag, and confided that this was just a prank (smiles).”
Oh well, Anant, guess this was the first time that a ‘ghost’ would have got scared!!
