MUMBAI: Since the internet started to buzz about Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin on Star Plus, there has been a lot of talk about the show taking a sudden leap. In addition to this sudden leap, lead actor Shakti Arora will also be exiting. Although Shakti stated in an interview with the popular news portal that he was completely unaware of his exit from the program, rumors about the actor's succession have also reached an all-time high.

Recent media rumors claim that Hitesh Bhardwaj, who was most recently seen in Star Plus' 'Aankh Micholi,' has been approached to play the show's male lead. However, the actor had already disclosed that he hadn't signed the dotted line in an interview with the well-known news website.

According to reports, the show's makers had also contacted Arhaan Behll and Param Singh before Hitesh.

A source close to the show says, ''Producer Rajesh Ram Singh was pretty keen on having Param on board since he has worked with him in the past too. However, things did not fall in place. The makers have also approached Arhaan Behll and are considering having him on board, however, here too, nothing is confirmed.''

A source close to both Arhaan and Param further confirmed the news and told us that while both the actors were approached for the show, while Param is definitely not doing the show, nothing has been finalized on Arhaan's end too.

The insider goes on to corroborate the rumor that Hitesh is "almost finalized" to play the major part following the leap, ''As of now, yes, Hitesh has been considered and almost finalized but again, it is not completely confirmed, a few more changes in the storyline of the show need to be done and if it falls into place, the makers will go ahead with Hitesh.''

Although it has been widely reported that Bhavika will remain in the show after the leap, a source previously disclosed that the makers of the show also intend to replace the actress, opening the door to a completely new plot.
