MUMBAI : A significant change was made when the makers of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein added a leap to spice up the drama. Several stars said goodbye to the daily soap opera after the leap. The actor portrayed Ishaan, Shakti Arora, is no longer working with GHKPM.

The production company decided to keep Bhavika Sharma on the show while Shakti Arora quit. According to reports, the filmmakers decided to go forward with the leap idea because they thought there was nothing more to explore in the love story of Savi and Ishaan.

Star Plus verified that Hitesh Bharadwaj has been cast as the new male lead following several weeks of rumors. In the serial, the actor from Choti Sarrdaarni is portraying Rajat. He replaced Shakti Arora in the position of lead. The new actors in Ghum Hain Kisikey Pyaar Meiin are Hitesh, Kaveri Priyam, Ankit Arora, Anuj Khanna, Varun Jain, and Amarya Khanna.

Earlier a source told the popular news portal, "Hitesh Bharadwaj fits the bill perfectly for the role that we have envisioned. He will take over the charge from Shakti Arora. Hitesh and Bhavika looked compatible in the promo that we shot and their chemistry was also scorching. We are hopeful GHKPM will rise to new heights after the seven-year leap."

Bhavika Sharma (Savi) broke her silence following Shakti Arora's exit and the seven-year leap in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. She claimed that after the leap, her character has grown and she is no longer a college student. She described how Savi had "paced down in her life" and the changes that had occurred in the love drama following the "time jump."

The actress from Maddam Sir talked about the "hurdles" that Savi faced when Ishaan (Shakti Arora) passed away. She also discussed her new appearance, in which she appears in the serial wearing sarees.

"Savi ke life mein bahut hurdles aaye hai. Vo bahut jyada mature hogyi hai. Uska look bhi change hogya hai. Vo college going girl nahi rahi. Kafi maturity agayi hai, badi hogyi hai Usne pace down kar liya hai," Bhavika Sharma told the popular news portal.
