Giaa prefers comedy over saas-bahu soaps

She has played a 'holier-than-thou' daughter-in-law as well as a bubbly genie on screen. But actress Giaa Maanek, who will be seen in a comical role in "Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai", says it feels great to make a "comedy comeback". In "Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai", which airs on Big Magic, Giaa will be essaying Menaka, a close friend to the character of Dolly. Talking about her role, Giaa said: "It feels great to make a comedy comeback with this channel. My fans will be seeing me in a new avatar as the role I'm playing in 'Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai/' is very different to what I've done in the past. "As an actor I have to choose the roles according to what my audiences will like. Hence, every character I play is very important to the image I portray." (Source: IANS)
