MUMBAI: Zee TV is all set to shake up the reality television genre with its forthcoming series Goriya Chali Gaon, an innovative concept that blends celebrity glitz with the earthy charm of rural India. Slated for launch between July and August 2025, the show promises an enriching and entertaining experience like no other.
Bringing his trademark charisma and youthful energy to the project is Rannvijay Singha, who has been confirmed as the host. Best known for his impressive track record on youth-centric adventure shows, Rannvijay is expected to bring authenticity and reliability to this unique format that sees celebrities swap urban luxuries for the simplicity of village life.
Goriya Chali Gaon will chart the journey of a group of city-based celebrities and digital influencers as they immerse themselves in the rustic rhythm of everyday life in a traditional Indian village.

In an exclusive development, TellyChakkar has learnt that popular actress Tejasswi Prakash has been approached to participate in the show. Talks between her and the producers are reportedly underway. Should she sign on, this would mark Tejasswi’s fourth stint in the world of reality TV, following her appearances in Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi, and Celebrity Master Chef.
Also rumoured to be joining the line-up are fitness icon Krishna Shroff and beloved comedy duo Chinki–Minki, although the full list of participants remains under wraps for now.
