MUMBAI: Gul Khan needs no introduction.
She is one of the minds behind the success of Ishqbaaaz, Qubool Hai, Imlie among other shows and now as she is all geared up to launch a new presentation on Shemaroo Umang.

Gul, in an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, shared, “I am very excited for the new presentation and especially because it is for a new channel. Shemaroo is one of the mainstream channels in FTA and I think the audience of Shemaroo is one of the hardcore Indian traditional ones so the people who love those dramas would come to Shemaroo. This show meets the target audience of Shemaroo and it is hence crucial to launch the project on this platform. This show belongs to the heartland of Hindi dramas.”
On being asked about Monalisa being cast on the serial, Gul mentioned, “Looking at Monalisa, I feel that she fits the role of the Daayan perfectly. In Nazar also she played it perfectly well. In Indian folklore, the Daayan is defined as someone who is beautiful, and has that magical and captivating long tresses which can mesmerise anyone. Monalisa is very good and sexy looking and has a lot of Indianness in her looks.”
She further added, “We have seen a lot of paranormal dramas and have seen how Naagin has evolved over the period of time. We haven’t shown Daayan in a different perspective where she has gone through something bad and is fighting between good and evil within herself.”
