Veteran TV and film actress Neelu Kohli, who recently entered Saurabh Tewari’s Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors, is a bit saddened by the rough treatment given by the fans of the show to the new male lead who has come in, Gunjan Utreja.
On a social networking site, Neelu recently expressed her view point over few remarks made by the section of online community. Talking about it, she told Tellychakkar.com, “I agree that fans are die-hard supporters of Vivian Dsena, and they have not much liked the entry of the new lead Gunjan. But I firmly think that they also need to give a chance to this new comer. He is good and has a genuine fire in his belly to perform. Fans also need to understand that Vivian also began his career from being a new comer.”
Further, she also questioned the real importance of the online fan community in the overall TRP game. At the same time, she accepted the fact that, “The creative team of any show makes changes in the story line as per online responses.”
When asked whether Madhubala was indeed in its last leg of airing, she said, “I hope not, for every show generates employment for a large number of actors and technicians. We all know how tough it is to get work these days. I just hope and pray that the hard work of the entire team will get rewards in the days to come. Madhubala has been a hit show, thanks to the efforts of Drashti Dhami, Vivian Dsena and others.”
“Here, the support of fans is critical and I request them to kindly watch the show. I have read that many fans are saying that they will not be watching Madhubala anymore. This is simply not done; you should at least give us one chance before making your call,” urged the actress.
Well said, Neelu!! We do hope Madhubala has a good run in its second innings too.
