Life OK recently shot for one of its most expensive promos.
Any guesses for which show?
Well it was for Ravi Ojha’s Gustakh Dil.
This four-minute long heart wrenching promo shows Laajo’s (Sana Amin Sheikh) village where people are in a bad condition due to the epidemic. And the poor girl is fighting hard for her life as her husband Nikhil (Vibhav Roy) on the other hand is trying to reach her as fast as he can.
The channel could have kept this simple and shot at minimal cost, but they decided to go unconventional and shoot it in a grand yet realistic way. And this decision cost them a whooping Rs 70 lakh.
Yes, that’s the approximate figure that has been pumped into this film-like promo, according to our reliable source.
The Ek saas aaye re … song that plays in the background has been sung by talented Rekha Bharadwaj. Apart from this, the team worked on a multi camera set-up and also placed 300 junior artistes in one frame.
Confirming the numbers Sana said, “It was a wonderful experience shooting for this music video (promo).”
“Vishal-Shekhar and Sonu Nigam too have gone on to praise the song on the social network. The channel has put in a lot of effort. In fact, my make-up artistes were called from LA,” the actress informed.
We also tried talking to the director Arathi Menon but she refused to comment on the same.
Well, the channel has definitely tried a novel outing which has in turn got them quite positive response. Let’s see if other channels follow suit!
