Happy birthday to you, Reena

Reena Kapoor known as Pari or Rani of Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki turned a year younger. The unit of her show made sure that she had a wonderful time on the sets and decided to give her a surprise today on the sets. Reena has been celebrating her birthday on the sets for the past five years. “This year I had to shoot but we have adjusted our schedules today. I will not be shooting after 7 in the evening, as I have planned a surprise dinner with few of my close friends and husband; it is a surprise for my husband because I never celebrate my birthday in a big way like this.” She adds, “I am not a party person, I have been celebrating my birthdays alone here in Mumbai for the last 10 ten years, however the Woh Rehne Waali unit always try to make it special for me. I still cannot believe that I have completed five years with this show.” Reena isn’t expecting any gifts from anyone. “I believe that more than gifts it’s the presence of your loved ones that’s more special. My husband knows I love crystal show pieces and he has gifted me two of them this birthday. They are very pretty. God has given me so many things. I cannot ask for more.” She believes in her spiritual guru of whom she says, “He is based in Indore and whenever I get time I visit him. Otherwise on every birthday or anniversary I call him and seek blessings from him before starting my day. My husband too is his follower and he also takes blessings from him on every important day.” Reena says that she does not miss her parents much as her father was in the Navy so they were mostly travelling everywhere. “My family is in Delhi, they are in touch with me every now and then so I do not actually miss their physical presence. Further it is next to impossible to fly there for every special occasion.” So is there any good news for Reena’s character in the show? “Yes of course finally some happy moments are coming in the show and Rani is getting married again. Therefore she is busy preparing.” Any new serials? “Frankly speaking, Rajshri Productions is like second home to me. I am addicted to them. I am very scared to take up new show as I wonder how they would will treat me, what if I will not be able to adjust with them. It’s like a phobia; I do not know when I will get over it.”
