MUMBAI: One of the most auspicious holidays observed in India is Maha Shivratri. A holy celebration honouring Lord Shiva, Maha Shivratri, also known as the Great Night of Shiva, represents spiritual enlightenment, fortitude, and metamorphosis. It is observed by devotees through nightly vigils, fasting, and the ceremonial abhishek of the Shivling using bel leaves, milk, and water. Many people think that true worship on this night results in inner tranquilly and divine blessings. Kumkum Bhagya's Zed TV star Akshay Dev Bindra discussed how Maha Shivratri is more than just a custom for him; it's a journey of faith, introspection, and thankfulness that links him to Lord Shiva's qualities of fortitude and devotion.
"For me, Maha Shivratri has always been a night of devotion and introspection," stated Akshay Dev Bindra, who plays Raunak in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya. I have happy memories of taking my family to temples, waiting in lengthy lines for darshan, and feeling incredibly attuned to the chants of "Om Namah Shivaya." It was made even more memorable by the delight of exchanging legends of Lord Shiva, fasting together, and presenting bel leaves. Despite my hectic schedule, I intend to celebrate this year by setting aside time for meditation and going to a temple late at night that brings back memories. I've taken a variety of courses at the Isha Foundation Sadguru's in Coimbatore during the past five years. It is absolutely thrilled when thousands and thousands of people sign up for their yoga course during Maha Shivratri. It was the best way I have ever celebrated this event. This day serves as a reminder to stop, let go, and enjoy the process in both my life and my work.''
