Cricketer Harbhajan Singh has issued an apology for his Ravan-Sita dance on Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena at a press conference in Chandigarh on Sunday. The Indian team is currently battling with Australia in the second Test at Mohali, Chandigarh.
Speaking to reporters, Harbhajan said, “I offer my apologies for hurting the sentiments of any community. It was not my intention to hurt the sentiments of anyone, including my own community.”
Akal Takht (the highest Sikh temporal seat) had termed Harbhajan’s act as anti-Sikh and demanded an immediate apology. It just weren’t the Sikhs but a few Hindu organisations too had objected to this act where Ravan was shown dancing with Sita.
