MUMBAI: Television producer Rahul Kumar Tewary, known for backing epic mythological tales and emotionally charged dramas, has often found himself donning the director’s hat for his ongoing project, Ram Bhavan. And this has made the show all the more special for the actors who are a part of the cast. Actor Mishkat Verma, who plays the role of Om in the show, shared that this is making the journey all the more special for him.
“You always hear stories about directors who bring something special to a set. And with Rahul sir, I didn’t just see it—I felt it,” Mishkat shared, adding that the veteran producer is one of the reasons he came on board the show.
He added, “He’s not loud or overbearing. In fact, he’s incredibly grounded. But when he speaks, you want to listen. There’s clarity in his vision, and somehow, it never feels forced.”
Another aspect that truly stood out for Mishkat, who has been a part of the industry for over a decade, is the way Rahul guides them on a scene. He said, “He never dictates. He makes us understand and feel every scene. And that makes all the difference. You feel seen, you feel heard—and that reflects in your performance.”
Even the smallest details were important to him. “I remember he once adjusted the way I was sitting in a scene—not because it looked wrong, but because it didn’t feel like the character. That attention to detail made me realize how deeply he was invested in the world of Ram Bhavan,” he said.
But more than the technical finesse, what he values most about Rahul’s direction is the emotional depth he brought into the narrative. “He doesn’t just want us to deliver scenes. He wants us to live them. And that makes us better—both as actors and as people,” Mishkat ended.
