Hina Khan was the first choice to host Funtakshari

The buzz is in the media is that Star Plus is coming up with a show for both kids as well as parents titled Funtakshari. It is said to be a mixed bag of music, Bollywood, trivia, humour and nice family time. As per the reports that have come our way, Ali Asgar and the intelligent Manasi Parekh will host the series. But what we have something which will surprise the readers. A little birdie whispered in our ears that though Ali was the first choice to be the anchor, for the female host, prior to Manasi the channel approached Hina Khan aka Akshara of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. But as the show needed 15 days straight participation, Hina could not manage to give constant dates as her presence in Yeh Rishta… was also important. Hence, they zeroed in on Manasi for the same. When we contacted Hina Khan, she stated, “That’s true I was approached to host Funtakshari but due to some date issue, I couldn’t take up the project.” Hina Khan with Ali Asgar…could have been an interesting pair!!!
