MUMBAI: Television actor Hiten Tejwani, a household name with a stellar career spanning over three decades, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of viewers. Known for his powerful performances and a timeless on-screen pairing with his wife, Gauri Pradhan, Hiten remains a beloved figure on Indian television.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, the actor shared his perspective on the buzz surrounding Bigg Boss and its recent decision to steer away from casting influencers and YouTubers in the upcoming season.
Weighing in on the move, Hiten remarked, “If the makers have chosen to go down this route, I believe it’s a well-thought-out decision. When they previously brought influencers on board, it must’ve been in response to the audience's preferences at the time. Ultimately, we’re all here to entertain, and the format will evolve according to what the viewers demand.”
He further explained the contrast between online influencers and traditional actors, stating, “The viewership for influencers is quite different. When television personalities or celebrities enter the Bigg Boss house, their fan base tunes in to see their real, unfiltered selves. If the producers have decided to stick with celebrities this time, I trust they’ve done so with a strong rationale. After all, Bigg Boss is immensely popular and enjoys a wide audience. The makers surely know what they’re doing.”
Currently, Hiten is winning praise for his performance in the television drama Meri Bhavya Life, where his portrayal has struck a chord with audiences and critics alike.
