MUMBAI : Senior actress Surekha Sikri, popular for shows such as Balika Vadhu and Badhaai Ho, was admitted to a Mumbai hospital recently after she suffered a brain stroke. The manager to Surekha Sikri confirmed the news with SpotboyE.com. The actress is currently to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Criticare Hospital in Juhu. Now, the latest reports state that the actress is not responding well to the treatment given to her according to the hospital authorities. As per reports, Sikri has also been diagnosed with an accumulation of fluid in her lungs.

As per a report on ETimes TV, the hospital authorities mentioned that the veteran actress is also diagnosed with an accumulation of fluid in her lungs. As per the report, when the hospital was contacted for an update on Sikri’s health, the authorities shared about the delicate condition of her lungs. The hospital authorities mentioned that a clot has developed due to the stroke which will be removed with the help of medicines. The hospital official said, “The clot (developed due to the stroke) will have to be removed by medicines (thinners). But yes, Surekhaji is also in a bit of a confused state of mind."

The report further mentioned that when the hospital was contacted for another update on Surekha Sikri’s health, the official mentioned that her condition continues to remain the same and said, "She isn't responding sufficiently.”
