MUMBAI: Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining shows on television today.
The audience loves watching Kartik and Naira coming together and brightening up the television screens with their chemistry and emotional performance. They are skilled actors, and each individual in the show knows their craft well. Yeh Rishta is entertainment for the entire family to lighten their moods over dinner.
Mohsin Khan is one of the most loved personalities on television today. He is adored for his on-screen personality of Kartik, and people love the way he reciprocates to every situation with grace. Known for playing Poonam Thakur in &TV's Begusarai and Aayat Khan in Colors’ Beintehaa, Shivangi Joshi has come a long way since she first started acting. She is synonymous with Naira now and has a huge fan following.
The drama where Naira loses her memory was a sad one, and people were anxious to know when she would regain her memory and how Kartik would manage to reunite with her. The current storyline shows that Naira finally regained her memory in an out-of-the-blue moment and that Kartik and Naira are going to remarry.
This fictional tale might be a good story, but from a perspective of a television viewer, the story should at least be relatable in some way to the audience. Yeh Rishta has always given social messages through its plots, and they have been doing an impressive job, but the memory loss drama is too old school, don't you think?
We feel the plot should have been a little closer to reality: something that a working woman, a housewife, and a daughter could connect with in some small way or another.
Naira has often been shown to be an independent woman who has her own individuality, and so does Kartik. We would definitely want to see more of Kartik and Naira coming together in situations that we can take inspiration from.
What's your take on the current track?
