MUMBAI: For actor Hrishikesh Pandey, who is currently seen in CID 2 as inspector Sachin, every day is Mothers Day. The actor has unfortunately lost his mom, but dedicates each and every day to her. He says that he misses her immensely and often remembers the time he spent with her.
“I would love to celebrate Mother’s Day, but I have lost my mom, and I miss her every single day. I don’t dedicate just one day to her — every day, 24/7, is her day. I love her and miss her deeply. When she was alive, I used to talk to her every day, day and night. She was a homemaker and made delicious food. I especially loved the halwa she used to make and a North Indian sweet dish called Gurma. No one can make it the way she did — I really miss that. Only my mother could prepare it so perfectly. There isn’t a single day that goes by when I don’t think about her. My mother was very traditional and spiritual. Whatever spiritual inclination I have today is not from my father, but from her. Whether it was the Ramayan or the Geeta, she was always reading. I remember all the shloks because of her,” he says.
Ask him what he learnt from her, and he says, “One life lesson I learned from her that I will always carry with me is: never harm anyone, never do wrong to people, forgive, and keep moving forward in life. I still remember, during a difficult time when I didn’t know what to do, she told me something I’ll never forget: “Tum zindagi mein leke kuch nahi aaye the.” She meant that we come into this world with nothing, so don’t stress about losses or material things. Whatever is meant to happen will happen — you can’t always be worried about money or failure.”
