Amila Sadhukhan, who made her small screen debut with Zee Bangla's Radha, says that she feels blessed for bagging the role of a character who is fat.
“I am a foodie and any foodie would love to play the role of a character who has no restriction on consumption of food,” Amila said.
The recently launched serial sees the actress playing the role of Radha, who is fat, loves her food and is proud of what she is.
The actress also said that she was actually working hard to become slim but luckily this offer landed in her lap.
She quipped, “I was always interested in acting and generally the heroines are slim. So, I started working hard in the gym to shed some kilos. I had managed to reduce my weight to 70 kgs. But when I auditioned for the role, I was asked to eat more and become little more fat. It was kind of blessing for me. Now I guess my weight has increased by 15 kgs.”
Amila said that she is getting immense support from her parents.
The pretty lady shared, “It was my parents’ dream to see me onscreen. They always wanted me to try my hand in this creative field.”
“My mother was extremely happy when I was offered the role. She was so happy that she cried,” added the actress.
