A pagefrom the personal diary of Kapil Nirmal Hello everyone, this is Kapil Nirmal whom you know as Nihal from Star Plus’ Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera. Today, I am here to brief you about myself. Born and brought up in Jaipur, I completed my schooling from there. Later I did my Post Graduation in Marketing from Haryana. Since my childhood, I have always participated in dramas and always liked to be in the limelight. So after my college, I thought of coming over to Mumbai and chase my dreams in the field of television. But after coming here, it was a different ball game altogether. I somehow landed working in a marketing company. Then I also joined a call center but after a few years, I realised that I was just whiling away my time. One day, a coordinator who happened to be a friend of mine asked me to appear for an audition and look test for an upcoming show. Thus, I worked on my look and acting and went for the audition. To my hard work and God’s grace, I got selected for the role of inspector Abhay Singh in Shakira that was directed by Abhinav Kashyap. In fact, I was grateful to work with him. I feel great that the first show of my life was directed by Abhinav Sir (director of Salman Khan’s Dabbang). Later, I did Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. Along with it, I also did reality shows like Nach Baliye and Zara Nachke Dikha. Then I quit Raja Ki…and took a break for a year and a half. After rejecting many roles, I made my come back with Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna as Sarje Rao on Imagine TV. According to me, the character I played in that was very close to me. But unfortunately, the show went off air. After that I did Na Aana Is Des Laado for eleven months and as I mentioned above, I am currently doing Veera. Summarizing my journey, I think, on the whole, it was not that easy and neither was it that difficult. I am grateful that I have got a chance to show my versatility on television. Currently, I am enjoying myself in Veera. But somewhere, I feel bad as the shows that I had earlier rejected are currently doing very well. On the personal front, I like to work out (exercise) a lot. I also like to watch movies as many Bollywood heroes inspire me. Lastly, thank you everyone for liking me; I keep reading your comments on social networking sites and that is what motivates me to work hard. So bye for now and take care.
