I am honoured to be back in the Diya Aur Baati Hum team - Gaurav Sharma

Gaurav Sharma’s portrayal of the innocent chap Raj Kumar in the sweet shop of Sooraj (Anas Rashid) in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum was loved by one and all. Later, the character had a huge transformation wherein he ended up being a terrorist who was out on a mission. RK’s revelation brought in huge drama with the viewers getting to see some edge-of-the seat twists which ultimately ended in Sandhya (Deepika Singh) and Sooraj getting RK put behind the bars. Now, it is time again for the dreaded RK to get back into Sandhya and Sooraj’s lives. Diya Aur Baati Hum will witness the comeback of RK, essayed by Gaurav in tonight’s episode (22 August). Talking about his comeback to the popular show, Gaurav told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, it is a very nice feeling to get back in Diya Aur Baati Hum. The best part is that the show was at the #1 slot when I was part of the show earlier. Now even when I get back, the show still remains at #1. It is an honour to be part of the show again.” This particular track of RK’s comeback is going to be a huge one for the show, especially because it will involve a lot of emotions and action-packed sequences. “Earlier, viewers saw a transformation in the character from good to bad. However, this time around, there will be nothing like this seen. RK is at his venomous best, and means only revenge at Sandhya and Sooraj,” explained Gaurav. On being part of the huge Diya Aur Baati Hum family again, Gaurav said, “I missed the masti that we used to have on the sets. The entire team gave me a warm welcome as soon as I resumed my shoot. They still remember the great time we shared earlier. Anas, Deepika and everyone are like my family. It is nice to be in the midst of family again.” As for his introductory sequence, Gaurav stated, “This will be a huge surprise for Sandhya. As you know, she will be asked to shift a criminal who is in jail from Jaipur to Pushkar. And this will be when RK and Sandhya would come face to face.” So what can viewers look forward to in the coming track? “Loads of action, interesting drama, and lot of emotions can be seen in the track ahead. The channel and the creative team have been planning out this track for many months now. I had been informed of my track getting back nearly two months back. So you can imagine the level of enthusiasm that the entire team has over this track. I will wait for the viewers’ reaction on my comeback stint on the show.” Gaurav, wish you all the very best!!
