I am missing my toddler's progress but I guess that's an actor's life.

A page from the personal diary of Angad Hasija When I first got the offer from Zara Nachke Dikha, I was thrilled. Though I have been in the industry for some time now, I had never participated in a reality show. On top of that this was a celebrity reality show! I discussed it with my mentor Rajan Shahi immediately. He encouraged me to go ahead with the show and wished me luck. Today, when I am about to start working on this show, I cannot but look back and think of how things were when I started my career. Incidentally, when I just started doing Bidaai and was a greenhorn, I got a couple of offers for doing reality shows. But since I was very raw and yet to get my toehold in acting, I did not want to participate in a dance based show. That could have sent the wrong signal of me being more interested in dancing than acting! I thought of biding my time, establish myself as an actor and then take up these shows. I feel, now is the right time to participate in a dance show like Zara Nachke Dikha after people have known me as an actor. Not sure how many of you are aware, but I have done almost 50 videos for various Punjabi songs and am quite passionate about dancing. But in this reality show the parameters are completely different and all of us need to put in our very best. Today, apart from my skills, people are also very curious about my personal life. I remember how everyone was taken by surprise when I announced that I was married and had a kid! I am happily married to my wife Pari and am well settled in Mumbai now. It may come as a surprise to you but my wife takes keen interest in interacting with my fans and keeps a regular watch on my fan site! She ensures I respond to my fans’ messages. I find it very encouraging. Right now she is at home taking care of our daughter. I always tell her to do whatever she wants because I will always support her. We have a wonderful daughter named Vaishnavi and she is 18 months old. It's sad that for the last two days I am working continuously and have not been able to see my daughter awake. By the time I reach home she is fast asleep and I just see her sleeping. Sometimes I feel bad at missing all the activities she is starting to do as a toddler, but then I tell myself that this is how the life of an actor is. Things are going to get worse in the next few months with me having to devote time to both Bidaai and Zara Nachke Dikha.
