I am more of a family person who loves spending time with my loved ones: Rucha Hasabnis

A page from the personal diary of Rucha Hasabnis Hello everyone, this is Rucha Hasabnis aka Rashi of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya currently being aired on Star Plus. I am here to brief you something about myself. A B.Com graduate, I later pursued M.Com degree from the Mumbai University. On the personal front, I am very ordinary kind of girl just as how all others are. I am more of a family person who loves spending time with my loved ones. I love sports and as a student I used to play volleyball at the State level and was also an athlete. For me, acting was a hobby. As a child, I always wanted to pursue it as my career path. So being a Mumbaikar, I convinced my parents that I deserve one opportunity to show my potential when people from all over India come here to try their luck. Initially, since I wanted to do print ads, I got in touch with one of the advertising firms and gave it a shot. From there, I got into Marathi ad films and slowly changed my tracks and diverted into doing a Marathi serial named Char Chaughi in the role of Devika. Since I am very fluent in the Marathi language, working in Marathi daily soaps, was not an issue at all. Then after some time, I got lucky when I got a call for the role of Rashi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. I cannot ask for more with such good people around to work with. It has been a brilliant experience in totality. Rashi as a character is very different as she is portrayed in a number of shades. In the initial stage, it was a challenging task, but later I got into the nerve of it. Rashi’s character is all about how she manages to play herself in between the positive and not so negative shades. For me, my most memorable moment was when I won the Star Parivaar award for favourite Naya Sadasya and favourite Devrani.
