MUMBAI: Rupal Patel, who was an integral part of Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke is currently shooting for Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2. As the former show will go off-air, we spoke in depth with Rupal about her characters as Meenakshi and Kokila Modi and her bond with Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma.
Rupal expressed, “I will miss the entire cast and crew there is no one person I will miss in particular. I share a good bond with Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma too. I will miss shooting for the show.”
When asked about Saath Nibhana Saathiya coming up with season 2, Rupal shared, “I am very excited and I am reliving all those memories as Kokila Modi. This time the new family has also been introduced so I met them as well and I must say, it has been an emotional journey for me. My best wishes to the makers and the producers and I request the fans to shower as much love as they did in the earlier show. “
We also asked Rupal if she is like her on-screen character in real life as well. She averred, “I am not strict but I am very righteous like Kokila. While Kokila is very stern, I am a very soft hearted person, humble and I smile a lot. “
Be it Kokila Modi or the character of Meenakshi from Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke, Rupal has been seen in glamourous roles. We asked her if she is the same in real life. Rupal shared, “I am glamourous by heart. I am quite simple in real life.”
