MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s Kaamnaa – jahan hoga khwaahishon aur usoolon ka aamna saamna has piqued the audience interest with its high octane drama that sheds light on the clash between principles and desires through the journey of a middle class couple – Manav and Akanksha. While the audience are in awe of Manav’s character portrayed by Abhishek Rawat, they are also enjoying watching television’s true-blue hero, Manav Gohil’s brand new avatar as the antagonist, Vaibhav Kapoor. Manav Gohil’s transformation from a good boy image to a calculative and persuasive man who loves to play with people’s emotion has garnered high praise from the audience as they can’t stop complimenting his performance.
Manav Gohil’s on-screen journey so far has been significantly memorable. Be it a positive or a grey character, the actor has proved his mettle as an actor with every character he has portrayed. And, now the negative character Vaibhav Kapoor’s is added to his list of accomplishments.
Talking about his character, Manav said, “Vaibhav’s role came as a bit of a challenge for me – staying used to playing characters who are saviours has always been the norm! I believe that a good actor is a result of all the characters he plays, and this role has helped me learn a lot. The process has been very different and unique, and offered me the space to innovate and experiment with my acting. There are times when certain scenes are tough to crack, but I've managed to learn how to go through with it. It's really exciting to discover each layer that this character unearths. When Vaibhav’s character was offered to me I knew this could definitely help me break through my good boy image on television. But honestly I was a little nervous as well because I was playing a negative character for the first time and I didn’t know how the audience would take it. And, now after seeing such great response my character has got I am really thrilled. I am glad I took the risk and my efforts paid off. I hope I continue doing justice to this character.”
