I dislike Bollywood actors interacting in English at press conferences: R J Mantra

RJ Mantra
RJ Mantra is back in the latest season of Comedy Circus (Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali). This good looking dude, who had made a name for himself with comic punches on this very popular Sony Entertainment Television stand up show, had himself asked to be excused before the last season got over saying he was busy with his upcoming film. But now he is back. Sources say that the producers (Optimystix Entertainment) requested him to come back for they felt that he will bring in more masala and help the series garner increased ratings. When we spoke to Mantra, he said, “Yes, they called me over and asked me to rejoin. Since I know them well, I agreed but will not be there throughout.” Upon asked if the creatives had told him whether he will help boost the numbers, he smartly replied, “Yes, the presence of the contestants of the previous seasons always help rake in numbers.” This time around Mantra has teamed up with Bharti Singh while the last time, he was with Purbi Joshi. “Bharti is a rockstar; I have enjoyed every time we have performed together on stage,” Mantra added. But can this decision to return to the show be influenced by the fact that your wild card entry in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 did not last more than a week? “No, the Comedy Circus team had approached me even before Jhalak started and you can’t compare both the formats,” he replied. Mantra is quite happy with the way his film Dill Patang is shaping up. “I play a street-smart Delhi lad. And since I originally hail from Madhya Pradesh, it was not very difficult to get the North India Hindi dialect and nuances right,” he informed. Here he brings to our notice that he feels very sad when he sees many Bollywood actors talk in English during press interactions. “Guys, you are making money from the Hindi industry and yet refuse to talk in that lingo, why? I am comfortable in both Hindi and English and can respond in the language asked,” he observed. Prior to Comedy Circus, this well known radio jockey also anchored idiot box show like Lagegi (Bindass), G-Spot,(Channel V), Cricket Controversies (NDTV 24*7) and Zara Nach Ke Dikha (Star One). Mantra has also done a few films like Tum Mile, Game, London Paris New York among others.
