Well-known TV actor Kinshuk Mahajan (Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai) is quite excited as his maiden Telugu film has gone on the floors in Hyderabad.
Tellychakkar.com had earlier reported that he was playing a lead in a South language film along with NTR’s grandson. “We have been shooting at the Ramoji Rao Film City since the last 10 days,” he quips.
Talking about differences between films and TV, Kinshuk, last seen in Zee TV’s Afsar Bitiya, says, “The entire scale is new. While in Bollywood we are always in a hurry to get the required content in a single day, here, we shoot more leisurely. Even if they don’t get more than two minutes of footage a day they are satisfied with that. This easy-going attitude gives us much more time to work on our character, looks etc,” he explains.
One of the biggest challenges that Kinshuk is facing is the language. “Before I arrived here, I was often told that you don’t need to bother about learning the language while doing South films. You can just mouth 1234 and they will take care of everything while dubbing. But this is not the case. Here, they have proper interpreters who explain the dialogues and diction to me. The only thing is that I have to understand them, learn and emote them with the required expressions and pronunciations. They prefer to shoot a lot on sync sound. This is a task but things are getting easy with each passing day,” he informs.
Kinshuk is also of the view that one of the best things of the South Film Industry is that the people here really start treating you as God if you click big time. “I feel honoured to be working with such well-known names in Tollywood (Telugu film industry),” he maintains.
Do people in Hyderabad recognize you? “Yes, even I was surprised as I did not think that Hindi TV shows are watched here, but on coming here, I found out that popular Hindi shows are dubbed in regional languages. So, I am known here, thanks for my Bidaai efforts,” he concludes.
