She is vivacious, versatile and very busy these days.
We are talking about Kritika Kamra, the leading lady of Indian television. Sexy, charming and much in demand, Kritika gained fame through her impressive performances in shows like Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kuch To Log Kahenge and Reporters among others.
Among several other interests, Kritika is an avid techie who loves to explore the vast world of experiences that smartphones offer.
“My phone is my life. I use it for almost anything and everything. I listen to music, watch movies, log on to social media to stay connected with my fans… and most importantly, navigate with the maps. Wherever I go, I use maps. It’s a really cool feature.” shares the actress.
She confesses she’s continuously on the phone. So how does she deal with the ‘battery drain’ issue? “Oh, it’s a big concern. But I guess we have to live with it. You always carry a charger or a cord wherever you go. It’s a little messy and I wish phones would come with a better battery life. It’s the need of the hour.”
Has it ever happened that a producer, her mother or someone else was trying to reach her and she had no idea about it because her phone had run out of battery?
“(Laughs) I’m not very regular with taking calls because mostly I’m shooting. But in a scenario when my battery dies, I try to message my loved ones before it actually conks off.”
However, there’s a bigger concern that worries Kritika. “If, however, I try to reach out to my mom and fail to connect due to the phone being dead, I get worried…like any daughter would be. I try to stay calm and wait for her to return, or I call or reach out to someone else who might know her whereabouts. When you love someone, you like to stay connected all the time. So it would be nice if phones would have better battery life.”
We’re sure all smartphone users would agree with Kritika over the need for a longer battery life. Luckily, Gionee has recently launched the Marathon M5 Plus, a phone with a 5020 mAh battery that lasts for 4 days without a charge. For more information, click here
