MUMBAI: Aashim Gulati who has stepped into the mytho-romance genre with Star Plus’ KarnSangini is playing the role of Suryaputr Karn. KarnSangini, set in the backdrop of Mahabharat, traces the journey of Uruvi, who chose the Outcaste King, Karn, over her childhood friend, Arjun and became the Outcast’s Queen.
Aashim on playing the character of Karn says, “I chant and I try to give back to the society in whatever way I can, just like Danveer Karn. Karn who was a very skilled warrior failed to receive the recognition he deserved and had to prove himself all the time. I come from nowhere and I have faced a lot of rejection just like Karn and I had to prove myself in front of the society with immense hard work and persistence. I relate a lot to Karn and hence I decided to take up this role.”
