MUMBAI: For followers of Lord Shiva, Mahashivratri is one of the most important and auspicious holidays. People from all throughout the nation visit temples and conduct fasts with great devotion on this holy night. Lakshay Khurana, who portrays Aditya in Sun Neo's Ishq Jabariya, reveals his treasured memories and preparations for this year's celebration on this momentous day.

"As a child in Delhi, I would be excited the night before Shivratri because I knew we would visit the temple," Lakshay recalls, recalling his best recollections. My father and I would visit the Shiva temple at night, where we would perform puja and pour milk and water on the Shivling. I was also excited to taste golgappas and other street food close to the temple. These are still some of my most and most treasured Shivratri memories.

The Ishq Jabariya actor continues, "As I grew older, I started fasting the entire day," when discussing his preparations for this year. However, I won't be able to fast this year because of my hectic schedule filming Ishq Jabariya on Sun Neo. Nevertheless, my wife and I will get up early and go to the temple. I will give the Shivling milk and water, ask for blessings, and recite "Har Har Mahadev" since I have a strong belief in Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. For me, Shivratri is a really significant festival that I eagerly anticipate every year.

Gulki, a vibrant young woman with lofty aspirations, is at the core of the endearing love story Ishq Jabariya. Lakshay Khurana, Siddhi, Dipshikkha Nagpal, and Kamya Panjabi are also featured.
