She rose to fame as Kuku on Zee's Kitty Party. Then after a sabbatical, the Parveen Babi look alike Deepshika has moved on to a more conventional role in DD's Kashmakash Zindagi Ki as Aradhna. The latest news about the versatile actor is that she has joined Baa Ba Bahu Aur Baby starcast where she plays a ravishing spinster. Says Deepshika, "I play Iccha, an unmarried glamorous and hip childhood friend of five brothers. The brothers go gaga when they get to hear that she's visiting them. Initially, it was very difficult for me to play this role, because it's a typical Guajarati family and one has to lend that feel to the character. My first day on the shoot was quite an experience. But now I am in love with my character Iccha and I consider myself lucky for doing this role." The actor is also enjoying her new found love for cameo roles. Recently, she just shot an episode on Sony's thriller Akela. " The cameo is about a girl who has lost her lover ten years ago and has not spoken a word since. It's a tragic character in that sense. I love doing cameos as it gives me a chance to essay different roles. Moreover, it is also an oppurtunity to get an idea about the working style of other directors." Deepshika will soon be seen in David Dhawans next film Partner, starring Salman Khan and Govinda. Adds the excited actor, "I play Salman Khan's sister in the film. In fact, I have just returned from Bangkok after completing a week long shoot and now I am all excited about the release."
