KOLKATA: Actor Uday Pratap Singh, who made his television debut with Colors Bangla’s Tumi Ele Tai, says that he likes to play grey characters.

“I like playing the villain,” Uday said to TellyChakkar, adding, “Though I don’t look like a villain but I like playing grey characters.”  

He played the male lead role in his debut serial and then was seen in character roles in soaps like Devi Pokkho (Star Jalsha) and Jamai Raja (Zee Bangla). His character in Jamai Raja was grey shaded. 

Uday is now again playing the character of male lead in his ongoing serial, Aloy Bhubon Bhora (Colors Bangla). Before bagging his ongoing project, he acted in a short film, The Bonfire Night. He also hosted a reality web series called Hurdle Hawk.

So, with so many things on his platter, is he happy with his career, we asked to which he said, “Yes, it’s a happy space to be in.”  

“But I still fumble with my lines. I need to grow as an actor. I need to work a lot on my acting skills…let’s see,” he added.
