I really look up to actors like Meghna Malik and Surekha Sikri - Varun Kapoor

Varun Kapoor
Varun Kapoor is indeed a lucky man! Born in Ahmedabad, Varun has always cherished his dreams of pursuing acting from the time he was a kid. While he was a part of Gujarati shows and advertorials when in school, he came to Mumbai to pursue his dreams after he finished his graduation. Having acted in shows like Na Aana Iss Des Laado, Betaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai and Humse Hai Life, Varun is currently seen playing the role of Danny in Saraswatichandra on Star Plus. While aspiring actors sweat it out to get mainstream lead roles, Varun’s case seems to have been lucky in this case. Talking about the characters he wants to play on-screen, the charming actor observes, “I have just got lucky in the industry, but that does not mean I am not struggling. I think everyone here is still struggling to make a place in the industry. Amongst the roles which really interest me, I would love to try my hand at negative and comic roles. Bollywood is also where my hopes lie, but not at the cost of cutting down on television shows. I would love to perform on both the mediums.” Varun claims of being an eccentric person who prefers living in his own shell; he does not like to socialize and is definitely not a party person. On that note, he also mentions of how aspiring actors need to be extremely focused in this industry. “It is very easy to get carried away. Aspiring actors should have the self belief to become something and it is only then that things will pan out in their favour. I really look up to actors like Meghna Malik and Surekha Sikri who have contributed so much, from which we junior actors can learn." Well said Varun!!!
