I want to be an actor till I get married – Aanchal Khurana

Aanchal Khurana, popularly known as television’s ‘Charu’ from her earlier show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke is planning a comeback to TV. The girl had been keeping busy with a marriage in her family. Now that the celebrations are over, she is back to Mumbai. Aanchal has been very choosy with her comeback project, and wishes to do a positive role, something like a parallel lead. However, she feels that she has been typecast for negative roles, after her stint as Charu. Says Aanchal, “Yes, it is extremely tough to get out of a character, and seek something different from your earlier one. Charu was such a popular character, that people can hardly see me playing a positive role. Having said this, I have been auditioning only for positive roles. I am not in a hurry, and will pick the best.” So what kind of roles does Aanchal love to play? “Frankly speaking, I like the characters that shows on Zindagi provide. They are so realistic, without donning the unnecessary jewels and makeup. I will prefer to take up a serious role, wherein I get more scope to look realistic and relate to the character I am playing.” Ask her about her long break after Sapne Suhane and she states, “That’s what is called destiny and I believe a lot in it. There are few actors who get back to back shows, and there are few who sit idle at home for years. So let’s see when I get occupied. Left to me, I want to be an actor till I get married.” All the best, girl!!
