I wish I could’ve known about my exit from the show at least a week before: Fahmaan Khan on his exit from Mere Dad Ki Dulhan

Fahmaan Khan opens up on his exit from Sony TV’s Mere Dad Ki Dulhan

MUMBAI: With television shows returning with fresh episodes, audiences are eager to see their favourite Television shows.

Sony TV’s Mere Dad Ki Dulhan started airing fresh episodes only recently, however, the audience were missing their favourite Randeep aka actor Fahmaan Khan in the show. Fahmaan and Anjali’s (Niya) chemistry was quite loved.

We got in touch with Fahmaan to know about his whereabouts from the show and were shocked to know that he has exited from the show.

He said, “I’m not a part of Mere Dad ki Dulhan any more as my character Randeep was sent to US about a week before the lockdown. Reasons best known to the makers. Although I have no hard feelings, I would have still liked to know that Randeep was coming to an end at least a week prior to the last day of my shoot so that I could have prepared for the same. I personally had started living Randeep, and as an actor you tend to build a strong connection with the character you’re playing and when the character does end it takes a good part of your emotions with it.  It felt like I lost a close one."

Talking about his journey in the show, Fahmaan said, “Well, it was a wonderful journey, a journey I will cherish for the rest of my life. I have learnt so much from the likes of Shweta Tiwari

and Varun Badola and our amazing director Anshuman Singh.

Moreover, I received so much love and affection for the character from the fans and it's certainly overwhelming to see the response I have got mainly pointing out to my performance as an actor. Which is why I always wanted to be an ‘Actor’ or an ‘Artist’."

What roles would he prefer to do in the future? Fahmaan answers, “To be very honest I am looking for another project with good content like the past work I have been fortunate to have done. Having said that I would now like to bag a role as a solo lead of a show, so that there is at least job stability (winks, laughs. But yes, I would like to take up a project that helps me take the next step. I've paid my dues in the industry long enough to probably dance on the Indian television Awards stage next year (winks).

Well, here’s wishing Fahmaan a very best of luck.

Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
