Imagine TV's Tewari and BAG's Shukla to do Nautanki

Yet another TV professional has been bitten by the production bug. Imagine TV's fiction programming head Saurabh Tewari has joined hands with Abhinav Shukla to launch film and TV production company Nautanki Films , which is backed by B.A.G Films & Media. Tewari had joined Imagine TV, the flagship Hindi GE Channel of Turner General Entertainment Networks India as fiction programming head a year ago. The channel launched shows such as Gunahon Ka Devta, Chandragupt Maurya, Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo, Preeto, Dwarkadheesh under his stewardship. Confirming the development Tewari says: “Nautanki Films is a long awaited and great opportunity and we have serious plans to create innovative yet massy content. Being a story teller, I have always thought of venturing into something where my expertise would come handy. Both Abhinav and I would be putting forward our best efforts to live upto expectations.” Adds Abhinav Shukla: "We hope to deliver interesting content in both TV and films. In the past few years both TV viewers and film goers have accepted a new approach to programming. We hope that with the new initiative we can also make a difference.
