MUMBAI : A possible new presenter for Indian Idol, one of the first and most illustrious singing competitions on Indian television, is creating a lot of noise. As per sources, Shalin Bhanot, who is presently a strong candidate on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, may be taking up this new position.
The source told a news portal, “Last season was anchored by Hussain, but the makers are looking for a fresh face this year. Shalin has been a top choice as while he may not have hosted reality shows before, he is spontaneous and lively, which was a top requirement for the makers.”
While Indian Idol auditions have kicked off, Shalin Bhanot is presently filming Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 in Romania. Still, September is when the show is supposed to premiere. There have been rumors circulating that Asim Riaz got into fights with Shalin Bhanot, another competitor, and eventually with Rohit Shetty, the host of the show, which resulted in his dismissal.
